WOW what a great first day! I hope all the children enjoyed it as much as me!

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to room 4 for 2014!

A few quick things to start the year with.

 I hope your families have all had a restful relaxing break and the children are ready to learn!

 

I am looking forward to teaching your child.

Please note that all children need to bring hats to school and wear them when outside for term 1. 

Please make sure fruit is cut into manageable pieces.

I enjoy having parent help. Please let me know if you are available to help in the class for:

·         art (Friday)

·         reading/writing time

·         your choice?

 

Swimming is on Thursday at 11.55 am. Please make sure children have togs, towel and a swim cap (goggles are optional) please make sure everything is named and in a bag.

Library time is on Tuesday, we will start our visits in week 2 of the first term.

I would like you to encourage your children to carry their own bags into class and do their morning jobs themselves, it may take longer in the beginning but once they are used to the routines and expectations they will complete their jobs quickly.

 

Their jobs are:

·       Changing their reading books

·       Putting poetry books away (Monday)

·       Handing in reading notebooks (Friday)

·       Lunch box/drink bottles in the right places

·       Putting down a chair

·       If there is any money/notices putting them in the pouch.

Writing pencils, white board pens and glue sticks are shared. If children would like to bring their own felt pens to use with their pencils  they can, please make sure they are in a named case.
